Clinical Internship Opportunities at Soul’s Alchemy
Fall Semester | Inquiries Due by February 1st
Currently we are FULL for the Fall 2025, Spring 2026, Summer 2026 cohort. You may always inquire, however.
Soul’s Alchemy: Therapy Sanctuary & Healing Studio offers a clinical internship experience for graduate-level counseling students seeking high-quality supervision, hands-on experience, and professional development in a trauma-competent setting.
We are looking for interns who are not only committed to meeting their program requirements, but who are genuinely invested in learning how to provide effective, ethically grounded care to clients navigating complex trauma, developmental disruptions, and nervous system dysregulation. If you are not interested in body-based, neuropsychotherapeutic work, you are not an ideal candidate.
Ideal candidates demonstrate:
Readiness for Real-World Clinical Work
You are grounded, reliable, and prepared to take initiative in client care with appropriate support and supervision.Strong Foundational Knowledge in Developmental, Chronic & Acute Trauma, and Attachment
You have a working understanding of trauma theory, attachment dynamics, and nervous system regulation — or a strong interest in learning more.Thoughtful Case Conceptualization
You enjoy understanding the “what beneath the why” and are willing to engage in reflective dialogue around client experiences and therapeutic direction.Openness to Integrative Work
You are curious about blending traditional therapy with body-based, creative, or neuroscience-informed approaches in a developmentally appropriate and clinically sound way.Professionalism and Accountability
You communicate clearly, follow through on commitments, and respond well to feedback. You are capable of managing a caseload with organization and care.Take Initiative in Their Learning
You don’t wait to be told what to do — you ask questions, seek out resources, and follow through. You understand that learning is an active process and take personal responsibility for your growth.Demonstrate Emotional Maturity and Accountability
You show up prepared, communicate respectfully, and take ownership of your impact. You can manage feedback without defensiveness and use it as a tool to improve clinical skill.Have a Genuine Interest in Trauma and Nervous System Work
You are curious about how trauma shapes development and behavior. You are interested in learning about somatic, neurobiological, and attachment-based interventions — even if you are just beginning.Think Clinically and Reflectively
You want to understand how and why people function the way they do, and you’re willing to consider your own countertransference and blind spots in the work.Balance Curiosity with Professional Boundaries
You bring warmth and interest into your sessions, while also maintaining structure, containment, and ethical clarity.
Additional qualities we value:
Interest in working with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, identity development, and relational concerns
Awareness of or openness to working with neurodivergent clients
Comfort with writing, documentation, and case formulation
Ability to self-reflect and navigate countertransference with support
Must have respect for inclusive, anti-oppressive, and developmentally sensitive care
We expect all interns to affirm and support LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities. If you hold personal, religious, or political beliefs that prevent you from providing inclusive, nonjudgmental care to clients of diverse identities, this internship is not the right fit.
We offer:
Weekly individual and group supervision
A structured, yet relaxed supportive training environment with opportunities for clinical creativity and growth
Guidance in nervous system-informed, somatic, and trauma-competent care
Opportunities to participate in psychoeducation resource development
An emotionally attuned and professional setting that prioritizes learning, development, and client safety
